The Smithsonian got 7.5 Mil to keep the place clean?! The employees probably only make minimum wage and this place was closed during the Stay in Place order, so no one is cleaning. AND…I only got $1200.00! (With a New York accent) C'Mon!

Alright, I’ve been following your channel since March.

Here my question: If I filed for unemployment with my state, am I automatically going to receive the CARES ACT unemployment as well or do I have to file for that separately?

If I worked any hours (in my case 6 hours) will that exempt me from receiving the CARES ACT unemployment or rather partial unemployment?

A lot of these aid packages for non-profits is because they have taken a hit too, during the COVID outbreak and although they are not like the mom-and-pop, small business that we think of that needs help, these institutions employ a lot of people and will need help to retain their employees and retain their organizational structures.

How does Congress plan to pay for the stimulus package? Print more money and increase inflation? Borrow from the Chinese who gave us the virus in the first place?

Sectors to our economy hit the hardest: arts & entertainment. People are being discouraged from going to live performances. So, yes, aid to the JFK Center can be essential if you want this form of entertainment to survive. The other small businesses of which you spoke was covered by the PPP. Smithsonian Institute, library services, public broadcasting — same problem. People are being encouraged to stay home. No one is going into the book stores or cafeterias to spend money. Plus, these are institutions that don’t run on market forces. They’re run by the government and need the government to continue to fund them if they are to continue to exist. If you want these treasures to continue, they need money. In fact, considering the overall price tag of the bill, $2 trillion, the amounts you are talking about here are a mere pittance. The Peace Corps does not run on market principles. If we want to continue to support humanitarian causes, yes the Peace Corps is essential. BTW, you mispronounced Peace Corps. The p is silent. Funny how you didn’t mention the big boost to the sunscreen industry, which just so happens to be in Mitch McConnell’s home state of Kentucky.

Honestly, the normative judgment here, just because you don’t think these causes are important, when there are people with real jobs being affected here, is just so outrageous. And again, help to small businesses was covered by the PPP.

Money is never appropriated for taxpayers. It is always for the rich or the banks. The stimulus money is for the banks. It all comes back to the banks. The banks are okay now and the stock market is good. The latest proposed stimulus bill was purposefully full of wasteful and bloated expenses that the Senate would never approve. The politicians are all wealthy fat cats who don't care about helping people.

The business takes the money and let others know it was disinfected..when the truth is.. it went straight for their personal USE. Thousands end up with the virus because of their LIES?!
