I just read The Giver this month. I loved it righy up to the end….. Spoilers.

The lack of ending or leaving it up the the reader was just not my thing. I need to know if the kids lived! Not make that my ending I need to KNOW! 🤣

Flowers For Algernon is one of my favourites. Its the first book I remember reading as a teenager that really moved me!

Don't come after me but I hated Beowulf! 🙈 Had to read it in my British lit class and I got famous in that class for being the only person brave enough to say they hated it lol. It was the professor's favorite!

New sub! 😃

The Giver!!!! 😭❤️ it’s such a fantastic book with such a beautiful message!

Alright, I’m going to need to read Beowulf now! 😱

I’ve never had any interest in Grisham but now I do!!! The Reckoning sounds FANTASTIC!

I don't know if I could pick just one book to be my favorite. My favorite series is the Wheel of Time by Jordan. I've managed to read it a total of three times and now I should probably read it again with the show coming out soon.

The Giver and Beowulf I both read in school. Great books! I have read several Grisham books, but I don't recall reading The Reckoning. I'll have to add it to my ever growing TBR. 🙂

Great recommendations. Hadn't heard of "Can't hurt me" will have to read it, thanks.

Officially adding The Reckoning to my tbr. I’ve had no interest in a John Grisham before but you’ve convinced me.

The Giver sounds very good. Beowulf as well, is it hard to read or pretty easy?

You looked so happy/in awe throughout the video but while talking about The Reckoning especially, you looked so emotional haha. That alone has pushed me more to pick up the book. I actually read The Giver for school and I really liked it too!

All the best on your journey in becoming more driven to be healthy 🙂

Great video! For me I didn’t read Beowulf in high school but I read Grendel by John Gardner and that is a book that stuck with me. I loved seeing the story of Beowulf from the monster’s perspective.

I read The Giver in 7th grade and needless to say I don’t really remember it. May need to reread it. I haven’t read Beowulf, but will look into it. 😊

Wow! Sounds like these books literally changed your life! I read Beowulf in high school and thought it was very good, but it's been a while! I may have to check out that Grisham book, and I'll have to ask my dad if he's read it. He was really into Grisham for a while there!

Did you put your name in the goblet of fire, Harry! I relistened to Goblet of Fire this year and it was amazing!

John Grisham is one of my all time favorite authors. The firm, the pelican brief, The runaway jury, sycamore row, the testament, and so many other greats!

I’m a sucker for thrillers anyway if I read fiction. We should read John Grisham’s “a time for mercy” together!

Some of my favorites are The Final Empire (You know I have to add a Sanderson), A Wizard's First Rule by Goodkind (such a loss to the bookish world), The Knife of Never Letting Go (Ness), The Early History of Rome (Livy) and I don't particularly enjoy a ton of non-fiction this one was a surprise to me. Though I think, it was either Harry Potter, Keeper of the Lost Cities, or Artemis Fowl that got me back into reading and to enjoy what I was reading.

I absolutely love the Giver 😍 I havent read any of the companion novels though, but I want to. And aparently there is a graphic novel I need to pick up!

Beowulf is also fantastic! I loved it in highschool as well!

I need to check out Cant Hurt Me… as someone who has struggled with an Eating Disorder, im really fascinated by this story. I have 2 friends who are marines and remember them telling me about hell week and they did sears training and got locked in the dog crate and had to basically make sure they could survive if they were captured behind enemy lines.

I used to love John Grisham, the Client was always my favorite.

I think the 4th Harry Potter is my favorite of the series! It definitely was a series important in my childhood. It was a very strange time in life to read it too, it almost got me kicked out of school lol but i loved it.

Goblet of Fire has always been my favorite installment in Harry Potter! My hard copy is so worn from rereads…it doesn’t look like it belongs with the rest 😆
Also, have you ever read Grendel by John Gardner? It’s Beowulf from the monster’s perspective. I haven’t read it in years, but I think you might enjoy it.
