I really loved Daisy Jones & The Six. Best book of 2019. Enough said. My favorite book this year would have to be The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. It's the story of one day where two teens meet, just before one is to be deported. I loved the story, the way it was told, and the characters. Heartbreaking perfection. Hope you have a wonderful new year and new decade. I have a really tough question for you. Which popular sub-genre do you prefer better?: Historical/Regency romance or romantic suspense?

Loved hearing about your faves! Red White & Royal Blue was another favorite of mine and I really enjoyed Daisy Jones and Queen of Nothing (I actually read it AFTER I filmed my faves video so it might end up on my 2020 list. Whoops lol)

I loved Ninth House! It made my best of 2019 lost too. In fact it's made me think I might ebjoy A Secret History by Dona Tarte.

For thrillers, I highly recommend: Cabin at the End of the World – Paul Tremblay; I'm Thinking of Ending Things – Iain Reid. These came out quite a while ago, though, but I read them in 2019.

My two favorite books of the year were new releases, which never happens to me bc I read so much backlist! They were Priory of the Orange Tree and Sorcery of Thorns. With probably muse of nightmares in third which is ALSO a 2019 release I think.

Rebekah Mackenzie June 28, 2020 - 10:09 am

Petey by Ben Mikaelson
White Rose by Kip Wilson
