That little crunsh is wonderfull Reply scraglor1 September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Man. Imagine picking up a contract to build a fence, working all morning in the sun, then randomly out of nowhere Kenji comes rolling over with a tray of sausages. You definitely buy a lotto ticket and a 6 pack on the way home that day. Reply Negative Ramos September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Ahhhh my next weekend project. Thanks, Kenji Reply AnkanBob September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm daddy would you like some sausages Reply AnkanBob September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm I also keep my beer in plastic containers Reply M V September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm U make me want to marry a chef. Reply Nathaniel Heimerl September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Wisconsinite here, you're overthinking brats. Get a good brat, Usingers, Sheboygan, even Klements, hell anything but Johnsonville. Low and slow on a grill, no need to simmer in beer. Add kraut and onions on the bun if you wish. Simmering seeps the flavors out of the brats into your liquid, which is then lost. Reply llC4ll September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm How long would you leave them in the oven if using that method? Reply M Lee September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Made it yesterday and it was delicious! Thank you! Reply Amrith Shanbhag September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm That aluminum sheet tray is brighter than my future. Reply Calibretto9 September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Hey Kenji, thanks for the videos! Reply abathingdumpling September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Kenji is the type of dad i wanna become Reply mygoatisdead September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Kenji, I love your videos. I rarely comment on anything I watch, but I must say that going to all this trouble cooking merely 4 bratwurst, in a full pound of sauerkraut is grossly unbalanced. Cook 10, or at least 8 for Christ sakes. No one, with the decent sized awesome aluminum roasting pan is going to make 4. Make 8! Make the package. That package better include 8, and if not? Then buy 2 packs of 4 bratwurst each. Reply Bob Monroe September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Thats a bitchen set up! So is the vid> THanks for the tips> 🙂 Reply TaikoTuesday September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm I bet he globbered those glizzys in less then 10 seconds, true glizzy gladiator Reply MtnD0 2.0 September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm The lesson I've learned here is run around kenji's house hammering random stuff to see if he takes notice, and hope he makes some extra food for me. Reply imwithstupid39 September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm i kinda like it when the sausage splits open. sometimes i score them for more crispy surface area Reply Mark Sandy September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm In Germany, we grill our bratwurst over low fire without cooking them first. It makes a better crust than your way. However, it is not so easy… Reply Elke Wheeler September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Wisconsin native and I’ve never thought about adding salt and green apple. to the bath. 🤯. Can’t wait to bbq and try this out. Thanks! Reply Gorilla Gorilla September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Grill game weak son Reply Gerhardt Weiss September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm You should have the guys from Prime Time come to Wursthall so you can make sausage together!! Who am I, Mr. Peanut butter? Cause… what is this, a crossover episode? Reply ExileOnDaytonStreet September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm This is a very good method. The Wisconsin method is fairly similar: boil brats in a bath of beer, onions and butter. Remove onions for garnish, sear on the grill, serve with onions and/or kraut. Reply Bursh September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Kenji being from Boston is so interesting Reply Keegan Zarboch September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Did this mans just instill a new government conspiracy into my brain about proper cooking temperatures. My whole life is a lie. Reply Dylan Danese September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm I got angry with jealousy when you said you were gonna feed the sausages to the workers Reply MR. C September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Kenji is a hero for those who constantly have the case of the munchies lol who's with me 🙌🏽 Reply Saul Alarcon September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Could this work with vegan sausages? Reply Marquis Charlemagne September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm I mean, I don't recognize this as something we do in Germany at all, but you've never been a traditionalist and it's probably pretty good! Anyway, the real deal ist still pretty good, so try it, if you get the chance 🙂 Reply snowB September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Custom kettle table yeah man! Reply Gincha Dope September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Kenji. Loving this channel. For your intro, i would maybe have two cameras on at the same time. One hand selfie to speak into, and the other gopro on your head. Then align them in post. that way, it could further help with the potential motion fixation for the initial segue. Im diggin how you improve each week. like a pioneer… Reply santcano September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm I’m late but still happy Reply Gwegory22 September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Can you Bake these in the oven for a bit using the same method instead of a low heat grill? Reply Lee Handley September 14, 2020 - 9:57 pm Hi Kenji! I'm going to build a grill cart for the Weber. Would love to know any regrets, recs, and unofficial specs.
