HOW TO AVOID BUYING FAKE FOOTBALL BOOTS

by CHZ

Fake football boots – how to spot them and why you shouldn’t buy fake football boots. In today’s Episode 67 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, Josh from SR4U and JayMike from Unisport discuss fake football boots and take a look at how you spot fake football boots so you can avoid buying a pair of fake football boots which might disappoint you – because not only are fake football boots sometimes hard to identify, they’re actually also illegal to sell. Of course, the two Boot Nerds also address the fact that many people buy fake football boots because they want a cheaper version that looks like a high end Nike Mercurial Vapor 13 or an adidas Predator 20+, but fake football boots have nothing in common with the real versions other maybe than the way they look – in other words, fake football boots are a waste of money and you shouldn’t buy them, and in today’s video, Josh and JayMike tell you why you shouldn’t buy fake football boots, and how you spot a fake so you can avoid ending up with a bad, illegal product.

It relates to this topic because affordability is a huge issue for people when looking for boots so please make a podcast titled best 2020 boots for less than 120 pounds

1st world countries = buy original boots. Only cost 80-200 USD (1-2 seasons).
3rd world countries = convert that to the local currencies, it will cost around 600 – 1200 to buy an original boot (1-2 seasons).

Here's a 3rd world countries challenge to the 1st world countries, try enjoying buying football boots that cost a 3rd of your monthly salary (per 1-2 season).
Try spending 600-1200USD on football boots for every 12-15 months.

Hey josh and jay, have you noticed a trend in adidas boots where once in a while 2 consecutive new boot models in a silo end up being very similar? Ex; the nemesis 17 and 18, copa 19 and 20, x18 and 19, and predator 18 and 19. What do you think? Love the podcast by the way

Hello Boot Nerds.
I have two questions:
1. There are also stores that have Tiempo Legend VII Elite available at the same price as Predator 20.1 Low. What would you choose
?
2. How do you rate Legend 7 elite against the background of currently available football shoes?

What do you think about leather version of synthetic models like Vapor, Furon, Phantom? Why pro players don't use them?

Thanks for answering my question again guys, I appreciate it. Do you think that Nike should have an option of a Teijin upper on the vapors like the vapor 10/11 as there is still demand for it?

Hey Joe Cole and Jay Mike, long time watcher here. I'm loving your great content, keep up the good work. What do you think about store brand football boots which are directly produced and sold by certain multisport retailers?

Whats your opinion on purchasing/playing in customized boots. (i.e. kickasso's customs, hydro dipping or painting over your boots)

Yesssssss this this this.
Nike and adidas will be fine.
JayMike going off! I agree, its so frustrating.
For me, the fact that your helping organized crime when you buy fake boots is the biggest issue for me.
Yes yes, there are so many issues with Insta sellers.
That rant from Derek was brilliant, but like Jay says, I don't like when people buy fake boots.
BigSoccer AND an AppleCorr shout out?? Oh Jay!
New Balance has some synthetic leather boots here in Japan, there's a few others too. But yeah natural leather is always the way to go.

How would you compare a well broken in pair of boots with a thicker, stiffer upper (say hypervenom phantom 2), to a brand new pair of thinner, softer boots (for example phantom vsn)? And what would you rather play in?

I bought a pair of laser 1s off of eBay that were used, but didn't look too bad in the pictures. Then I got them, the seller didn't even clean the Astro turf rubber out of them, the air pods were gone, and the insoles were burnt toast. I've found a good way to tell how worn boots are is pictures of both sides of the insoles, and I haven't had any issue with asking sellers for them on eBay.

I have been watching SR4U since 2012, Unisport since 2013 and the Boot Nerds podcast since episode 1, I would like to say thank you for the amazing content you have been putting all these years! All love for you guys!
I am still playing with my Magista Opus from 2014 and I thoroughly enjoy the experience of playing in them. What boot from today's market would be a good replacement? I prefer a slightly thinner upper (although not as thin as a Vapor) and a more snug fit. Price would not be an issue. I was considering trying to find a pair of CTR Maestri 3's but I don't want to take the risk of getting scammed so I would prefer to buy a pair of boots from the current market from a trusted retailer. I am open to trying something newer if there isn't anything that compares to the Opus nowadays. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you and keep up the great work!

When I said I didn’t mind someone buying fake boots I meant if they went out to buy a fake pair then that’s their choice. Being tricked isnt cool and that’s what the whole incident was about.

If you guys had the chance to choose a boot for the other person to wear in a match, to specifically piss them off.. What would it be? & what colour way? 🤣
