It might seem odd, but we’re limiting the number of new members each month because we want to make sure everyone gets set up well within the community. Especially during this time, I want everyone to get the most out of it. If you missed this round, send me an email, [email protected] and I’ll let you know when we do it again.

Thank you for your videos. I began a wfh job this past week. Although I turned a spare bedroom into a designated office with all of the frills, mentally I was struggling. Your video really helped.

I can't find the pod cast I just heard today, so I'm writing here. It was about creativity and once again you've inspired me. The big take away for me was figuring out if you were involved in something you want to drop or if you need to work through the difficult part. I'm a piano teacher and I remember hearing a long time ago that many students quit when they have to do more complex things with both hands. Not sure what it takes to keep people inspired to go through the difficulties. You also often talk about doing very little steps, even just showing off. I also really liked the one with the nutritionist who talked about things like environment, sleep, stress, etc. You and Amy are great hosts and you get great guests. BRAVO!!!!!!

This was very informative and timely, and I love that you brought back the jingle. Yay! I am on week 3 and happy to report things are going well. Fortunately my employer was well set up for this sort of thing. For me the vast majority of my work is done on the computer, so it doesn't really matter where I do it. I do enjoy the natural light of the dining room window and I have kept up with my meal routines. I try to get some exercise each day, and I am sleeping better than I have in a long time. I definitely want to find a way to carry that with me when I do start working sometimes in an office again. Very happy that you are safe and well!

Is BTT your full time job? If not, I’m curious why you do for a living, if you’re comfortable sharing.

Thanks for this! I really like the stay moving tip. I have a dedicated room in the basement as an office for work. It's the size of a bed room so I have space to workout as well. I do stretches and a short exercise every morning before starting work. Throughout the day everytime I leave the room and come back I need to do one exercise or stretch. I follow a general plan for different target areas for each day of the week.

A tip that I believe has helped me a lot mentally especially since I have no idea when I might be heading back to the office – this fits in with the boundaries you mentioned. When I am finished for the workday, I pack up my laptop and accessories just as if I was leaving the office. This helps me feel that I worked the day and am now leaving to go home.

I would love to know how to wake up early when really you don't have to?
Great tips as always and looking forward to your next video on working from home with a partner!

Thanks for the tips! I usually work from home, even before all of this, and I found that having a playlist of ambient, lyric-free music (Synthwave and chillstep for me) of mostly the same stuff that I always listen to when I'm working, and don't listen to when I'm resting, helps to really kick my brain into focus mode. When I don't play it, I sometimes have trouble focusing, but when I do, it helps.

Any video with Rocky in it gets an instant like, haha! Great video as always, and even though I'm out of work right now, I do believe that having routines is essential to your productivity during the day. Keep up the great work, Anthony! 🙂

I bought the app “Focus Keeper” to stay on track. It was $3, and found it the best way to actually sit still and work without surfing the Net or doing trivial stuff.

I've been working from home for a few years now and the best thing that ever happened to me was when I dedicated one room to be a "workroom". Having a separate place where you can work and then go "home" and just relax is the most important part of working from home, I believe.

Good advice to help people. Luckily
I no longer have to work or worry
about a monthly salary coming in.
Am so grateful now, that I retired
fully two years ago. But I did work
for some time after taking payout
of my two monthly Swiss pensions.
Most certainly relieves stress. Bless
all these people who now have to
work at home due to the present
virus. Kind greetings to all.

Any tips when you can't work from home but are stuck at home? I've ran out of 'chores' and useful things to do. All i have is a bit of physio….. Then all the other buts like netflix, etc I can't chill that much! And it'll be horrid going back to work if I don't do something

Amazing topic, very necessary. I've been having a hard time studying from home because my parents seem to think I'm available all day long. Keeping a routine helps a lot.
